Trail Notes · The outdoors
Beyond the fence line
Finding room to breathe where the road gives way to the trail. A journal of outdoor time, observation and respect for country.
A trail changes the pace of a day. You begin to notice the ground beneath you, the wind moving through the grass and the small signs of life along the way.
Go prepared
Check local conditions before setting out, carry water and suitable clothing, tell someone your route when heading into remote country and turn back when conditions call for it.
Travel with respect
Use established paths where available, keep a safe distance from livestock and wildlife, and respect private property and posted access rules.
Take the time to look
The outdoors is not a race to the next viewpoint. Sometimes the best part is stopping long enough to notice what was there all along.
